Bulging discs, Bone Spurs, and Fused Joints...OH My!

Well the verdict is in and my back is in pitiful shape. No wonder I have pinched nerves, I have not one issue but three to give me grief. I will be going in for cortisone shots in my spine, which should give me relief, and surgery is not in the picture, but it is something that I am going to have to learn to live with I guess.
Oh and I have to lose weight, which I have had so much luck with in the past...so what do you suggest complete starvation or rabbit food diet for me? I am also going to have to get more exercise in my days and nights. So wish me luck and learning to live an entirely new lifestyle. I know it can be done, but remember I am such a pessimist and have limited self esteem so I could certainly fail at all of this miserably.
Other fronts still working, still Boy Scout mama, need to get better with the homeschooling mom duties though.
Papa Bear is on lay-off this week so we're spring cleaning a little bit before spring actually arrives. Mainly reorganizing now, the scrubbing will come when we can open up the windows...I have been known to overdose on bleach in the past.

American Idol - Wisconsin Shines Proud

I must admit that after being seriously upset when Jamar Rogers, also from Milwaukee, did not make the final 36, I was ecstatic to know Danny would be on the show to prove WI has talent, and is not just the butt of jokes. He sure rocked the show Tuesday night and I cannot be happier that he is in the top 12. I am also very happy to see that Michael Sarver earned a spot in the top 12 as well. Alexis Grace, to be honest, I could take her or leave her. None of the girls really blew me away with their singing, and I think it is going to be another year where the guys rule the show, but I am willing to be proven wrong. The wild card show is really when people are going to have to bring their A game.
Truth moment here, I would be happy to see Tatiana del Toro, Nathaniel Marshall, and Nick Mitchell/Norman Gentle go right now. I admit Tatiana has a voice, she is just annoying. Same with Nick, or is it Norman. Nathaniel I just never felt he had talent, and thus it still depresses me that they sent Jamar packing to keep him.
So, what are your feelings on the first round?

To Wit To Woo

Life is such a roller coaster of emotions at times.
Seems I do nothing in a small way, and I have not one, but two pinched nerves in my back. So on Friday I have a CT scan to see what is causing the pinching. Hopefully there is something that can be done. Alas I also have neuropathy, probably related with the diabetes...guess that I need to just cope with. I just had my 6 month diabetic blood tests and while my A1C went up a little the doctor didn't change my medication.
I've been watching American Idol again, so once we get past Hollywood week, I am sure I will have my weekly reviews for you. Also going to be watching Hell's Kitchen, may have some reviews for that. Anyone else watch Top Chef on Bravo? I love that show.
I am getting back into my reading more, and should be having more reviews on The Library at the End of the Universe, going to aim for at least one a week.
Papa Bear is working hard, but there have been lay-offs at the plant and we can only hope that he is not one that gets laid off. As everywhere a lot of companies are doing major house cleaning and thus there are more unemployed on a daily basis.
Walmart is doing well though and both Nick and I should be in jobs for as long as we want to be. At least Nick can now pay for some of his Scouting expenses. He is planning on going on a canoe trip this summer in addition to regular summer camp. I may even be attending summer camp with the troop this year...that should be an adventure. We did get 5 new Scouts in the troop from Webelo crossovers, which is great. Troop growth is very important as we lose so many when they get into high school. Zak wants to work at one of the summer camps this summer, which would be a perfect job for him. Then when he gets back he will be 16 and he can find a job here at home.
As I end this post I must say that I am ever so happy that I am not the mom on "Malcolm in the Middle" those kids are awful!
