To Wit To Woo

Life is such a roller coaster of emotions at times.
Seems I do nothing in a small way, and I have not one, but two pinched nerves in my back. So on Friday I have a CT scan to see what is causing the pinching. Hopefully there is something that can be done. Alas I also have neuropathy, probably related with the diabetes...guess that I need to just cope with. I just had my 6 month diabetic blood tests and while my A1C went up a little the doctor didn't change my medication.
I've been watching American Idol again, so once we get past Hollywood week, I am sure I will have my weekly reviews for you. Also going to be watching Hell's Kitchen, may have some reviews for that. Anyone else watch Top Chef on Bravo? I love that show.
I am getting back into my reading more, and should be having more reviews on The Library at the End of the Universe, going to aim for at least one a week.
Papa Bear is working hard, but there have been lay-offs at the plant and we can only hope that he is not one that gets laid off. As everywhere a lot of companies are doing major house cleaning and thus there are more unemployed on a daily basis.
Walmart is doing well though and both Nick and I should be in jobs for as long as we want to be. At least Nick can now pay for some of his Scouting expenses. He is planning on going on a canoe trip this summer in addition to regular summer camp. I may even be attending summer camp with the troop this year...that should be an adventure. We did get 5 new Scouts in the troop from Webelo crossovers, which is great. Troop growth is very important as we lose so many when they get into high school. Zak wants to work at one of the summer camps this summer, which would be a perfect job for him. Then when he gets back he will be 16 and he can find a job here at home.
As I end this post I must say that I am ever so happy that I am not the mom on "Malcolm in the Middle" those kids are awful!

Hey just dropping bye to say Hi, and thanks for the comments while I've been dealing.
I hope they can fix your pinched nerves. I had one and while my disk is still herniated I have been able to minmumize the pain and tingling and the numb spot is gone through intense exhausting physical therapy. Good Luck

LOVE Top Chef and Hell's Kitchen! I like catching Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares and The F Word on BBC America. I know the guy can be a jerk, but he's so often right!

Take care!

Ow, pinched nerves? I'm sorry, that must suck!

And man oh man, I'm ready for summer already. Not that I don't love spring, I just love summer more! :)

I am praying your husband stays on the employed side of the fence! Tell him no need to join me on the unemployed side, as it sucks over here!

I hope they find something fixable on the CT.

Love and squeezes to you.

Oh you poor thing - two pinched nerves?!? I remember how awful I felt with just one a few years back. How did the CT scan go? Is there something they can give you to help with the neuropathy and the pain of the pinched nerves? You have my complete and total sympathy and understanding on any and all pain issues when it comes to this sort of thing as I have been there, done that, and bought the sweatshirt - never mind the t-shirt!

It's good to hear from you. Sorry you have pinched nerves. Hoping the CT scan goes well. Keep us posted.

I have a pinched nerve due to collapsed disk(s). I control it with muscle relaxers (acute pain) and anti-inflammatory (before doing anything that might hurt my back).

If you are having shooting pains down your leg, you need to get off your feet. Stretching exercises, heating pads and hot/cold rubs works. Lie with a pillow under your knees to release pressure off your back.

Someday they will be able to replace our disks and relieve pinched nerves. That time is not yet.

God bless you with healing and love.
