100 Words Challenge - Hidden

Photobucket
Sponsored by Velvet Verbosity

In the shadows of the mind where secrets often lie,
You may be intrigued by the hidden doors you will spy.

Dare not consider to touch the locks upon any door,
What lies behind, I wish to see no more.

Tucked away in the closets of my mind it should be,
The hurt, the pain, the shame you must not see.

Let the cobwebs take control and hide it all away,
May the memories that haunt never see the light of day.

Fear not that may escape and run free,
Always guarded by my soul and heart they will be.

You know, you and Mishi are going to drive VV crazy with these 100 word poems. I have a couple of 100 word Haiku's under my belt, and I know she ranted about those for a while.

Lovely poem by you. Well done.

Excellent job. Really. Excellent.

LCeel is so right! Makes my brain make a cracking noise. Only because I can barely write poetry at all, but then to be confined to 100 words and do it...nope. Does not compute.

Awesome!

I like it, but I am not a fan of meter and forced rhyme. So, that I like it means something. I do love introspective stuff and its cool you can do it these in 100 words. Holla!

Wow, that's really great! I'm not very good with rhyming, myself. You've sure got a talent, though!
